Donald Trump knows marketing. But this ploy is impressive. The October 17th book signing for his title Think Big and Kick Ass in Business and Life written with Bill Zanker, president and founder of the Learning Annex, brought up a good question about the crowd of people there.
Were they there for the authors or the cash? Yes, that’s right. Metro New York posted a large ad that Trump was giving away money. But it was truly The Learning Annex that was giving away $100 bills to the first 100 who showed up and $50 to the 200 after that and so on… You can read more about this story here.
So if you’re a midlist or newbie author desperate to have a successful booksigning just offer cash. It works.
